Torq speed responsive switches are used in bulk material handling systems to monitor speeds of conveyors and other types of rotating machinery. Torq switches are designed to activate an alarm system and/or initiate a control action to prevent downtime of machinery. Speed switches provide protection from speed related damage including broken belts, overloads or belt slippage.

Steel mills
Mining
Ore handling
Foundries
Food processing
Chemical processing
Power plants
